Safety tips and guidelines
How to stay safe before you book, during your stay and in an emergency, including secure payments, property checks and 24/7 support.
Your safety and peace of mind are our top priority. These guidelines are designed to help you enjoy a secure and comfortable stay, from booking to check-out.
Before you book
- Always use the Flexiestays platform for communication and payments.
- In rare cases our support team may send you an alternative payment link. Only proceed if it comes directly from an official Flexiestays support number or email address.
- Check the photos, descriptions and amenities carefully. If anything is unclear, contact our team.
- Choose properties with self check-in and secure smart locks or entry codes. All of ours work this way; see how self check-in works.
- Watch for signs of risk, such as incomplete property descriptions, missing photos or inconsistent details.
During your stay
- On arrival, check that all doors and windows are secure.
- Familiarise yourself with safety devices such as smoke alarms, carbon monoxide detectors and fire extinguishers.
- Note the emergency exits and evacuation routes.
- Never share your access codes or keys with anyone outside your booking.
- If you notice anything unsafe, such as faulty wiring, broken windows or slippery floors, report it to our support team straight away.
Unacceptable behaviour
- Discrimination, harassment, violence and threatening behaviour are strictly prohibited.
- Parties, excessive noise and unauthorised guests are not allowed.
- Installing recording devices inside properties is forbidden unless clearly disclosed and approved.
- Illegal activity, drugs and weapons are not tolerated under any circumstances.
Health and cleanliness
- All apartments are cleaned to professional standards between stays, with extra attention to high-touch areas such as handles and switches.
- Hand sanitiser or disinfectant may be provided for guest use.
- If you are unwell before or during your stay, contact us. We will do our best to support you and keep everyone safe.
Emergencies and support
- Emergency numbers are listed in your check-in instructions, including police, fire service and the local hospital. For anything that is not an emergency, see problems during your stay.
- Our support team is available 24/7 for urgent assistance.
- In the event of a fire, gas leak or immediate danger, call the emergency services first, then let us know.
- All incidents are taken seriously, and we will help with rebooking, refunds or alternative arrangements if needed.
