How self check-in works

All of our buildings use self check-in. You let yourself in with a unique access code, at any time from 15:00 on your arrival day, without meeting anyone or queueing at a desk.

What you receive before you arrive

Three days before check-in we email your full arrival instructions. They include:

• The address of your building and how to find the entrance
• Your unique access code for the smart lock or key box
• Where to park, if your booking includes a parking bay
• Wi-Fi details and anything specific to your apartment

If you book less than three days before arrival, the instructions are sent within two hours of the booking being confirmed. Check your spam folder if you cannot see them, and make sure the email on your account is correct. See managing your account details.

On the day

1. Arrive any time from 15:00. See check-in and check-out times.
2. Follow the instructions to the building entrance and to your apartment door.
3. Enter your code on the smart lock, or open the key box and take the key.
4. Once inside, check that all doors and windows close and lock properly, and find the smoke alarm and fire exit. Our safety tips cover what to look for.

Keep your code to yourself

Your access code is for the people named on your booking only. Do not share it with visitors or post it anywhere. If you think someone else has it, tell us and we will change it.

If the code does not work

Check that you are at the right door and entering the code exactly as written, including any # or * key. If it still does not open, call or message us straight away. Our team is available 24 hours a day and can talk you through it or reset the lock remotely. Contact details are on the contact page.

Early arrival

If you arrive before 15:00 you can ask for an early check-in. It depends on whether the apartment is ready, so ask as early as you can. See early check-in and late check-out.
