Long-stay payments, deposits and invoices

How monthly stays are paid, what deposit applies, how VAT invoices work, and how a company can book and pay on your behalf.

Monthly stays are billed monthly, in advance, with everything included in one figure. The amounts and dates are shown at checkout before you pay anything.

Deposit

A long stay takes a standard cleaning and security deposit only. There is no six-week rental deposit, no guarantor and no agency fee, because a serviced let is not a tenancy. The deposit amount is shown at booking and is returned after check-out, less any damage or extra cleaning. See the house rules for what counts.

How to pay

Payments are processed by Stripe, our payment provider. You can pay by card or by any of the methods in payment methods we accept. All payments go through the Flexiestays platform. We never ask for cash or a bank transfer outside it. See safety tips.

For some longer bookings you can pay a deposit up front and the balance closer to check-in. Where that option applies, it is offered at checkout.

Invoices

Every payment comes with an invoice. If you need a VAT invoice for expenses or for your employer, tell us and we will issue one. Corporate accounts receive one consolidated VAT invoice a month, with purchase order and reference numbers included where you need them.

If your company is paying

Your employer can book and pay on your behalf. We accept corporate billing, block bookings for teams and payment against invoice for account customers. See corporate and contractor stays for how to set that up.

If a payment fails

If a monthly payment does not go through, we contact you and send a secure link to complete it. Please respond quickly. An unpaid month without an agreement can lead to the booking being ended. See pay 25% now and the balance later for how failed payments are handled on staged bookings.
