Delete your account and your data
How to ask us to delete your Flexiestays account and personal data, what we have to keep under UK tax law, and how long a request takes.
You can ask us to delete your account and the personal data we hold about you at any time. Under UK and EU GDPR you have the right to erasure, subject to a few legal limits explained below.
How to request deletion
- Email info@flexiestays.com from the address on your account, with the subject "Delete my account".
- Say whether you want the account closed only, or your personal data deleted as well.
- We confirm the request and respond within one month.
Before you ask, make sure you have no upcoming bookings. A booking cannot be honoured without an account and contact details.
What we have to keep
Some records must be kept by law even after your account is deleted:
- Booking and transaction records for up to 7 years, as required by UK tax law.
- Communication data for up to 2 years, unless you ask us to delete it sooner and no legal reason prevents it.
Everything else, including your profile, saved wishlists and marketing preferences, is removed.
Other rights
You can also ask for a copy of your data, correct anything that is wrong, restrict how it is used, or object to marketing. The full list, and how we use your data, is in our privacy policy.
Just want to stop the emails
You do not need to delete your account to stop marketing. Turn off notifications in Account settings, or use the unsubscribe link in any marketing email. See managing your account details.
